As the first recipient of the Absher Initiatives Literary & Arts Grant, I was afforded the opportunity to publish WILD FLOWERS, a collection of haiku, other forms of Japanese poetry, and haiga (art combined with poetry). Visit the publications link for pre-ordering and ordering information.

My haiku poem “Plantation Tour” came in 2nd place in the NCPS Griffin-Farlow Haiku Award. The list of finalists wasn’t shabby…and a small cash prize. The judge was acclaimed Haiku Poet, Michael Dylan Welch. Read more on his in-depth knowledge of Haiku here.
